What is a dual-action hayfever nasal spray?

A dual-action hayfever nasal spray contains two active ingredients that work in different ways. Ryaltris Allergy combines an antihistamine and a corticosteroid to relieve both nose and eye symptoms.

Who can use Ryaltris Allergy?

Ryaltris Allergy is used to treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hayfever or other year round allergies such as pet, mould or dust allergies) and rhinoconjunctivitis (allergy defined by symptoms in the nose and eyes).

  • For adults and children 12 years and older with hayfever
  • Not recommended for children under 12

Always read the label and follow the directions for use.

When should I choose or switch to Ryaltris Allergy?
  • You are looking for fast, long-lasting relief from nose and eye hayfever symptoms to use throughout the season
  • You are relying on more than one product (e.g. antihistamine tablet and also a steroid hayfever spray) for relief
  • Your symptoms are uncontrolled on current treatment

Speak to your pharmacist or doctor about whether Ryaltris Allergy is suitable for you.

What do I need to know before using Ryaltris Allergy?

  • If you’re allergic to any of the ingredients
  • If you have a severe nasal infection
  • If you have an increased risk of bleeding or recurring nose bleeds

How do I know if I have hayfever rather than the common cold or COVID?

Hayfever, the common cold, and COVID share similar symptoms, but they are different conditions.

Hayfever:

  • Triggered by allergens
  • Commonly causes a runny nose with thin, watery discharge
  • Can also cause itchy, watery or red eyes
  • No fever or muscle aches and pains
  • Symptoms last as long as exposure continues

Common cold or COVID:

  • Caused by a virus (have you been around someone with a cold or COVID?)
  • Can cause a runny nose with watery or thick, yellow discharge
  • May include fever, sore throat, or muscle aches and pain

If symptoms occur seasonally or persist for weeks, hayfever may be the cause.

Speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you’re unsure whether your symptoms are hayfever or something else.
